Greencastle Twp. bridge closing set for 150 days

Bridge 150 on County Road 200 South, just west of CR 100 East, over Owl Branch Creek will be closed on or after Thursday, Sept. 7, the Putnam County Highway Department has announced.

The bridge is located on Airport Road between Zinc Mill Road and 10th Street, south of Greencastle, in Greencastle Township.

The closure is scheduled for 150 days.

  • Why are they closing it? Repair or replace? Either way, 5 months? Good grief!

  • 5 months is not too long to replace this narrow "accident waiting to happen" bridge. Guard rail needs installed on both sides of the road also to eliminate a deep ravine on either side of the road.
