Clovers run well against Vikings
Cloverdale and West Vigo ran a dual cross country meet on Tuesday.
The Vikings won the boys’ race by a 19-36 margin, and the Clovers did not have enough runners for the girls’ race to have a team score.
Rylan Hall led the Clover boys by placing fourth in 19:15, while Lily Monnett ran first for the Clover girls in 23:16.
“Rylan had a solid performance, leading the way for our boys team,” coach Andy Tyler said. “Ray Bates was also impressive. The team as a whole puts in a lot of hard work and it is really showing out on the course.”
Tyler thougt both Monnett and Macie Couch (fourth in 23:19) had “great performances” on the girls’ side.
“We are looking to have a great race Thursday at Clay City,” he said.
