Night of Music

Providing a taste of truly homegrown talent and some regional flavor, the first Homegrown on WGRE concert of the semester treated listeners to a pair of solo singer-songwriters Thursday at Music on the Square. Paige Beller (below) of Dayton, Ohio, opened the show, while local favorite Gus Moon closed with an acoustic set. Despite hailing from a much larger city than Greencastle, Beller was impressed with the accoustic environment DePauw University has provided with the downtown facility. “I want something like this in Dayton real bad,” she said. The sets will air on WGRE as part of Homegrown’s regular 10 a.m. Thursday timeslots on Sept. 14 and 28.
