Man dies in Jefferson Twp. ATV rollover

BELLE UNION — A Coatesville man died Monday evening after rolling his off-road vehicle in southeastern Putnam County.

John Hall, 48, of Coatesville, was pronounced dead after being transported to Putnam County Hospital.

At 5:43 p.m. a passerby in the area of County Road 800 East and 500 South called Putnam County Dispatch to report an overturned Polaris Ranger along the roadway with a man trapped underneath. Hall was non-responsive at the time the call was placed.

An investigation by Indiana Conservation Officers is ongoing, but no foul play is suspected at this time.

An autopsy will be scheduled for a future date.
