Putnam County SWCD to host Local Working Group meeting

The Putnam County Soil and Water Conservation District, on the USDA’s Natural Resource Conservation Service’s behalf, will host a public Local Working Group meeting Thursday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. in the USDA Service Center, 1007 Mill Pond Lane, Greencastle.

Attendees will discuss and rank Putnam County’s top natural resource concerns in preparation for the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) for the 2018 Farm Bill conservation programs implementation.

The group will also answer how well Indiana’s current technical information and programs address local resource concerns in a survey that will be sent to the Indiana State Technical Committee.
