Friday, September 15, 2017

It is with great sadness that the family of Harry Ludlow announces his passing on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017, at the age of 68 after battling cancer.

Harry will lovingly be remembered by his wife of 46 years, Denise (Zeiner); daughter Laura Staley and husband Robert; daughter Meagan McCord and husband Paul; grandchildren Nathan, Kayla, Drew, Mason and Quinn; sister Beth (Ludlow) Risk, and stepsisters Abby (Reasor) Miller and Paula (Reasor) Chaplin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Ludlow and Maxine (Edmondson) Reasor.

Harry spent his early childhood years in Ladoga, and his family later moved to Roachdale, where he graduated from Roachdale High School in 1967.

He attended and graduated from Ball State University after completing his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees.

An avid fisherman, Harry enjoyed fishing lakes, rivers and streams for bass, walleye and trout. When not throwing a line, he also enjoyed snapping pictures, tying flies, playing golf and reading.

Much of his career was spent in the tire industry in the states of Indiana, Ohio and West Virginia, working for corporations such as Goodyear, Tire America, Michel Tire and Tire Discounters, the latter of which he retired from in 2011.

Harry and his wife moved to the Cincinnati area in 1996 and have remained in the area the last 21 years.

In lieu of flowers, it was Harry's wish that donations be made to assist the Wounded Warrior Project via his fly fishing club. Please send checks to the following address with "Harry Ludlow Memorial" noted in the memo: Buckeye United Fly Fishers, P.O. Box 42614, Cincinnati, OH 45242.

A memorial gathering will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23. The family will have a memory jar and requests that you share a memory they can treasure for years to come. Please join the family at First Baptist Church, 404 Judson Drive, Greencastle.

Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home, Cincinnati, was entrusted with arrangements.
