County Jail

Nine people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Thursday

• At 11:22 p.m. Cody Alan Duncan, 31, Camby, was taken into custody on three warrants.

• At 10:13 p.m. Ulysses Scott Lewis, 21, Solsberry, was housed at the jail on a pair of warrants.

• At 9:01 p.m. Willie L. Berry, 57, Indianapolis, was booked in on a Marion County warrant.

• At 4:32 p.m. Billy Aaron Barnett, 19, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 3:38 p.m. Delilah Marie Willard, 31, Roachdale, was taken into custody by court order.

• At 2:01 p.m. Michael McNabb Solberg, 22, Fenton, Mo., was housed at the jail for possession of marijuana.

• At 12:57 p.m. Josiah Charles Lawson, 23, Coatesville, was booked in for possession of paraphernalia with a prior conviction.

• At 12:35 p.m. Chawn Lawrence Weimer, 41, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail for vicarious sexual gratification, child solicitation and dissemination of matter harmful to minors.

• At 12:12 a.m. Cameron Dean King, 23, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a warrant.

City Police

One arrest was reported Thursday night by Greencastle City Police.

• At 11:35 p.m., Slade Alexander Spudes, 25, Greencastle, was stopped by Officer Brad Hiatt at Bloomington and Martinsville streets.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, Spudes was arrested on a Putnam County warrant for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

Spudes was also cited by Officer Hiatt for another offense of driving with a suspended license.

Two additional citations were issued by city officers.

• At 10:59 a.m. Wednesday, Jean Coy, 48, Greencastle, was issued a summons by Sgt. Ed Wilson.

Stopped on Percy Julian Drive, Coy was cited for driving with a suspended license.

• At 2:47 p.m. Tuesday, Audrey Richardson, 81, Greencastle, was ticketed by Officer Nick Eastham.

Stopped on Fillmore Road, Richardson was cited for having no valid driver’s license when required.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated a pair of recent property-damage crashes.

• At 1:25 a.m. on Thursday, Lee N. Ross, 71, Rosedale, was westbound on U.S. 40 about 200 feet north of County Road 200 North in a 1997 Chevrolet when she hit a deer.

Deputy Jeffery Freeman reported that Ross continued about four miles until her vehicle stalled due to the radiator being damaged in the collision.

The car was towed. Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.

• At 9:05 a.m. on Wednesday, Kinzi M. Pierce, 29, Danville, was on Heritage Drive crossing the Heritage Lake dam in a 2006 Buick Rendezvous.

Pierce told Reserve Deputy Ken Rozelle that as she was approaching a sharp curve, she was distracted and took her eyes off the road. When she looked up, she hit a guardrail with the front driver’s side.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.
