County Jail

Ten people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 10:09 p.m. Josh Andrew Mitchell, 22, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a pair of local warrants.

• At 8:59 p.m. James D. Benge, 39, Reelsville, was taken into custody for invasion of privacy, stalking and harassment.

• At 2:40 p.m. Hunter Scott Neal, 20, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 11:35 a.m. Kayla Renee Spiker, 24, Reelsville, was booked in for dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a syringe, dealing in a synthetic drug or lookalike substance and visiting a common nuisance.

• At 9:52 a.m. Robert Nelson Diggs, 28, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a syringe, dealing in a counterfeit substance and maintaining a common nuisance.

• At 2:37 a.m. Andrew Darin Frazee, 27, Greencastle, was taken into custody on an out-of-county warrant.

Tuesday

• At 11:08 p.m. Joseph Labon Drury III, 31, Carbon, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 1:49 p.m. Aaron James Wesley Lake, 22, Greencastle, was booked in for theft.

• At 10:49 a.m. Jeremy D. Moore, 30, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license

• At 10:19 a.m. Alfred Ray Treadway Jr., 46, Quincy, was taken into custody on a local warrant for theft.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage crash.

• At 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Patricia R. Coffey, 55, Greencastle, was eastbound on County Road 300 South stopped at U.S. 231 in a 2009 Kia Rio. Gary L. Clemens, 37, Indianapolis, was northbound on 231 in a 2017 Freightliner Cascade registered to McCoy Nationalease Inc.

Coffey told Deputy Tanner Brown she did not see the truck and tried to pull northbound onto 231, hitting the driver’s side rear wheel area of the truck.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.
