CLOVERDALE — Indian Creek captured the Western Indiana Conference East Division Friday night, steamrolling the homestanding Cloverdale Clovers 34-0.

The Clovers, coming off a convincing homecoming win over Owen Valley that clinched third place in the East, could get little going against the Braves, although the score was only 14-0 at halftime.

Isaiah Lacey scored the first Braves’ touchdown on an eight-yard pass and Michael Perkins ran in the two-point conversion for a 8-0 first-quarter lead for the visitors.

Indian Creek made it 14-0 in the second period when quarterback Taylor Voris took the ball in from one yard out but the conversion try was no good.

The game got away from the Clovers in the second half as Indian Creek made it 28-0 in the third quarter on touchdowns by Perkins on a one-yard run and a 59-yard pass from Voris to Brad Trietsch.

The Braves set the final margin at 34-0 when Aaron Hart tallied on a one-yard run following an interception by Dylan Sprong.

Indian Creek, which claims the WIC East with 5-0 record, will host Sullivan (7-1, 5-0) next Friday for the WIC title in a rematch of last year’s final game.

The Clovers (3-5, 3-2) finished third in East and will host county rival North Putnam (4-4, 3-2) for fifth overall.
