Joseph P. 'Joe' Blake

Joseph (Joe) P. Blake, Greenwood, passed away Monday, Oct. 9, 2017.

He was born Feb. 22, 1937 to Benjamin and Remore Blake in Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Blake, in 1982.

Joe served as a Marine in the Korean War during the 1950s.

He was employed with the Department of Public Health at Marion County Health and Hospital Corporation for 18 years and was later self-employed as an air conditioning repairman.

He is survived by his children, Ed Blake and wife Angie, David Blake and wife Tina, Carroll Brierley and husband Dan, Mark Blake and wife Sue, Beth Ohlheiser and husband Steve, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private family memorial will be held at Bainbridge Christian Church on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m.
