First Ivy Gallery lunch set for Oct. 27
The Culinary Arts students at Area 30 Career Center will be creating and serving their first Ivy Gallery lunch of the school year on Friday, Oct. 27.
Serving time for the luncheon event is noon to 1:15 p.m.
Ivy Gallery will be serving a fall friendly menu, including apple dumplings and chocolate pumpkin cake for some of the dessert choices.
Cost of the three-course meal, which doubles as a fundraiser for the program, is $11 per person.
The price includes a drink, appetizer of soup or salad, main entrée (chicken breast) and dessert selections. It is an RSVP-only event due to limited seating.
Persons may make reservations by calling 317-997-9247 and leaving a message or responding via email to mbirt@area30.k12.in.us. Provide size of party and a confirmation callback number.
The class “is a culinary program in which students are learning many skills,” Culinary Arts instructor Mary Anne Birt said in announcing the event. “We are not competition with other restaurants as we are a learning site to feed into their restaurant.”
The Ivy Gallery is located within the Area 30 Career Center, adjacent to the cafeteria of the old IBM building (west of Ascena) off State Road 240 at Calbert Way in Greencastle.
