Kids' Club to get taste of fall Saturday at museum

Thursday, October 19, 2017

On Saturday, Oct. 21 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Putnam County Museum, kids and parents alike can come out and have a fun time with leaves and apples as the group makes fall decorations and tastes different apples that are native to the area of Putnam County and Indiana.

The purpose for organizing this monthly event, museum officials said, is simple: To bring the community together and promote the Putnam County Museum, where history, heritage and art are relevant and where children can grow and have fun.

Kids' Club is held on every third Saturday of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with lunch being provided. It is a free event with donations being appreciated, but not required to attend.

The museum is able to stage these and other free events thanks to the generous volunteers, members, donors and staff.

The Putnam County Museum is located at 1105 N. Jackson St., Greencastle. Its phone number is 653-8419, if you have any questions.

Persons can find information on its website at www.PutnamCountyMuseum.org or like the museum on Facebook at www.facebook.com/PutnamCoMuseum for upcoming events, giveaways, information on exhibits and other news about the museum.
