No. 15 Sullivan (9-1) at Greencastle (6-4)

The coaches: Blaine Powell is in his first year at Sullivan. Mike Meyer is in his eighth year at Greencastle with a record of 35-47.

The history: The teams last played on Sept. 22 at Greencastle, with Sullivan winning 41-10. Sullivan holds a 4-3 advantage over the past 30 years.

So far: Sullivan beat North Knox 45-14, lost 30-28 to Linton-Stockton and beat Northview 29-28, North Putnam 47-27, South Vermillion 42-28, Greencastle 41-10, South Putnam 63-20, West Vigo 41-13, Indian Creek 48-38 and West Vigo 34-0.

Greencastle beat Crawfordsville 10-0 and Cloverdale 21-13, lost 14-0 to West Vigo, beat South Putnam 49-7 and Cascade 37-0, lost 41-10 to Sullivan, 22-20 to Northview and 10-0 to North Putnam and beat Edgewood 42-0 and Brown County 34-7.

Up next: The winner will meet the winner of the Danville-Sullivan game next week in the sectional championship.

Per-game point averages: Offense – Sullivan 41.8 (tied for 27th overall, fifth in Class 3A), Greencastle 22.3. Defense – Sullivan 20.8, Greencastle 11.4 (22nd overall, fifth in Class 3A).

Opponents’ records: Sullivan 54-46, Greencastle 42-58.

Key statistics: Greencastle’s Damon Moody is the team’s leading rusher with 950 yards on 148 carries (6.4 yards per game) and 10 touchdowns. Versatile Gavin Bollman has rushed for 278 yards and six touchdowns. Cade Winslow leads the defense with 109 tackles (76 solo), while Alex Costin and Andrew Fajt each has two interceptions Trever Wood has made three fumble recoveries

The Cubs lead the state in sacks with 62, led by Bollman (16), Winslow (15) and Jacob Meyer (14).

For Sullivan, Jack Conner has completed 75.8 percent of his passes this year for 2,826 yards and 29 touchdowns with only five interceptions. Dakota Caton leads the team in receiving with 74 catches for 1,165 yards and 13 touchdowns despite missing the first two games of the season due to injury.

South Putnam (2-8) at Indianapolis Howe (1-9)

Game time: 7 p.m.

The coaches: Nathan Aker is in his fourth year at South Putnam with a record of 20-23. Terry Pendleton is in his first year at Howe.

The history: The teams haven’t played in football.

So far: South Putnam beat Cloverdale 20-6 in is opener and has lost 21-14 to Brown County, 48-21 to North Putnam, 49-7 to Greencastle, 21-0 to Edgewood, 31-0 to West Vigo, 63-20 to Sullivan, 63-6 to Northview and 28-12 to Brown County before beating Covenant Christian 40-15 in the sectional last week.

Howe lost 62-12 to Osceola Grace, 54-0 to Triton Central, 28-22 in overtime to Bowman Academy, 54-14 to Guerin Catholic, 59-0 to Beech Grove, 36-6 to Indianapolis Manual, 41-6 to Culver Academy, 45-12 to Heritage Christian and 34-18 to Indianapolis Northwest before beating Indiana School for the Deaf 22-6 last week in the sectional.

Key statistics: South Putnam quarterback Christian Zeffel has passed for 813 yards and six touchdowns. Aidan LeBlanc leads the team with 450 yards rushing, including 195 last week against Covenant Christian. Kain Gregory leads the team in receiving with 11 catches for 266 yards and five touchdowns. Dalton Scott leads the Eagles in tackles with 75.

Cloverdale (5-5) at Park Tudor (3-7)

Game time: 7 p.m.

The coaches: Tom Winders is in his first season at Cloverdale. Orlando Lowry is in his sixth year at Park Tudor with a record of 14-48.

The history: The only meeting between the teams in the past 30 years was on Oct. 24, 2014 in the first round of the sectional. Park Tudor won 56-22.

So far: Cloverdale lost 20-6 to South Putnam and 21-13 to Greencastle, beat Edgewood 19-10, lost 27-0 to Cascade and 27-9 to North Putnam, beat Brown County 53-18 and Owen Valley 20-9, lost 34-0 to Indian Creek and beat North Putnam 23-19 and Speedway 25-20.

Park Tudor lost 14-0 to Triton Central, 42-13 to Beech Grove and 40-20 to Indianapolis Scecina, beat Southern Wells 37-13, lost 59-16 to Indianapolis Lutheran, beat South Decatur 37-2 lost by forfeit to Speedway, lost 44-6 to Monrovia, lost 47-13 to Indianapolis Ritter and beat Indianapolis Washington 52-0 in the sectional.

Per-game point averages: Offense – Cloverdale 16.8, Park Tudor 21.6. Defense – Cloverdale 20.5, Park Tudor 29.0.

Opponents’ records: Cloverdale 39-60, Park Tudor 46-44.

Key statistics: Cloverdale’s Tyce Jackson is the leading rusher with 530 yards and eight touchdowns. Parker Watts passed for 477 yards, with Nick Winders (256 yards, one TD) and Jake Wilkes (283 yards, one TD) are the team’s top receivers.

For Park Tudor, senior quarterback Anthony Safford Jr. has completed 100 of 196 passes for 1,173 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Panthers’ leading rusher is sophomore Bishr Jones, who has gained 581 yards on 72 carries with two touchdowns.

The team has six receivers who have caught at least 11 passes, led by senior Antonio Morris with 143 yards on 18 catches. Senior Kamron Ferguson has 14 catches for a team-high 315 yards
