Traditional Jazz Orchestra to perform as part of Artsfest

With Artsfest going on at DePauw University, the weekly Jazz at the Duck session will feature the Traditional Jazz Orchestra at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2 at the Fluttering Duck inside the Inn at DePauw.

The TJO plays hot music from the early 20th century when jazz was young — the music of King Oliver, Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Waller and other popular composers from the period.

Featured musicians are Jeff Helgesen, cornet; Randy Salman, clarinet; Barry Wagner, trombone; Mike Miller, banjo/guitar; and John Tubbs, bass.
