Gleaners slates senior food giveaway at Armory Thursday

The Gleaners Senior Mobile Pantry will return to Greencastle on Thursday, Nov. 9 at the National Guard Armory.

The food giveaway for seniors age 55 and older will be conducted from 10-11:30 a.m. Doors will open at 9 a.m.

The armory is located at Arlington Street and Shadowlawn Avenue on the city’s northeast side.

Besides being 55 and older, participants must also be Putnam County residents to participate in the food giveaway.

Those taking part should bring their own sacks or boxes and provide identification to verify eligibility.

Gleaners conducts the senior food giveaway on the second Thursday of each month in Greencastle.
