Just in time for the holidays comes an opportunity to view and shop for original art.

Dozens of artists from west-central Indiana will show and sell their works at the InteGREATive Art event scheduled for Friday, Nov. 17 from 5:30-9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Putnam County Comprehensive Services’ new facility at 630 Tennessee St. in Greencastle.

Works on offer will include ceramics, photography, textiles, wood, paintings, drawings, jewelry and mixed media by artists from Putnam and surrounding counties. Also on hand will be several nonprofit organizations working to support the arts.

Opening-night festivities will include refreshments and a cash bar. Both days of the art event are free and open to the public.

Andrew Ranck of Putnam County Comprehensive Services (PCCS) coined the term “InteGREATive” to celebrate the fact that the show and sale will bring together artists across a range of abilities, media and locations as well as a variety of nonprofit arts groups.

The event is made possible by a grant from Arts Illiana in collaboration with Green Light Art Studio of Putnam County Comprehensive Services, the Putnam County Convention and Visitor Bureau, the Greencastle Arts Council and the Rivers and Roads Artisan Trail.

If successful, the sponsors hope to make the InteGREATive Art Show an annual event.

A few 10x10 spaces are still available at no charge to artists working in Putnam, Clay, Fountain, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo counties.

For more information and to register, artists may contact Meghan Armitage at PCCS, 655-5037 or marmitagepccs@gmail.com.
