Next Kids Club event at PC Museum set Saturday

Friday, November 17, 2017

Youngsters are invited to join the Putnam County Museum on Saturday, Nov. 18 for a “Thanksgiving Food” themed Kids Club program from 11a.m.-1 p.m.

Thanksgiving was a celebration of food stored for the coming winter. What can we do with these foods? Come find out.

Also, attendees can reserve their family’s spot for the December “Joy of Giving” Kids Club, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 16 from 11a.m.-2 p.m. Kids and guests will make and take home presents for giving to family and friends.

The museum’s purpose in organizing these events is simple: Bringing the community together and promoting the Putnam County Museum where history, heritage and art are relevant and where children can grow and have fun, organizers note.

Refreshments and snacks for Kids Club are provided by UAW Local 2382. A part of the Greencastle Community for 20 years, UAW Local 2382 represents more than 700 members at IAC on Fillmore Road in Greencastle.

Kid’s Club is held every third Saturday of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is a free event, open to the public with donations being appreciated, but not required.

The museum is able to have these and other free events thanks to the generous volunteers, members, donors and staff.

The Putnam County Museum is located at 1105 N. Jackson St., Greencastle. The phone number is 653-8419, if you have any questions.
