BRIDGETON – The Parke County town of Bridgeton will host its annual Country Christmas celebration starting on Black Friday, Nov. 24.

Shops will be open Nov. 24-26 and again Dec. 1-3.

The 1878 Barn, Collom’s General Store and the Artisans Barn at the Mill will be open and full of vendors. Many local vendors are returning from the Covered Bridge Festival and there will be new ones as well.

Youngsters can visit Santa in the 1822 Case Log Cabin, both Saturdays and Sundays from 1-3 p.m.

The Old Bridgeton School will be open the second weekend with crafts. Live Christmas music, lights and decorations will be in the historic district.

Visitors can take a carriage ride the first weekend, and Saturday from 5-7 p.m., enjoy a cup of hot spiced tea at the 1822 log cabin while getting warm by the fire.

There’s no admission and free parking.

Bridgeton, located nine miles south of Rockville, is accessible by taking State Road 59 north from Brazil to the Bridgeton highway sign.
