NP girls defeated by Wildcats

BAINBRIDGE —South Vermillion got a school-record 43 points from sophomore Mallory Hawkins on Tuesday night to help defeat North Putnam 77-47.

The Cougars fell to their third straight defeat after starting the season 3-1.

Payton Lyons scored 13 points to lead North Putnam, while Jaden Day added eight.

Baylee Osburn had six rebounds for North Putnam, while Clarissa Gibson added five.

North Putnam (3-5) hosts Cloverdale on Tuesday.
