Several December programs set for City Parks Department

The Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department has several programs coming up in December.

Interested persons can sign up for the annual Holiday Challenge contest at City Hall to be judged Thursday, Dec. 9 at the monthly Park Board meeting. Create either a gingerbread house with a winter twist or Santa Claus Lego creation.

On Saturday, Dec. 9, Santa Claus will be making phone calls from his North Pole hideaway to registered Greencastle youth (ages 2-6) from 10 a.m. until noon. Make sure to get on Santa’s list by completing a registration form at City Hall.

On Sunday, Dec. 10, Lego enthusiasts can join the department for the Brickmania: Lego Christmas Party from 1-4 p.m. at City Hall. Enjoy some treats and drinks while creating Lego creations.

On Saturday, Dec. 16, the infamous Grinch will be joining the department for Breakfast With the Grinch from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Putnam Inn for $5 per person.

Limited spots are available for the green eggs and ham and french toast sticks breakfast menu.
