JV girls' basketball county champs

South Putnam won the Putnam County JV girls’ basketball championship on Saturday, defeating Greencastle 50-19 in the championship game. Nine of the 11 players are freshmen, and have never lost in county tournament play. The Eagles (8-1) lost their first game of the season to Owen Valley on Monday night.
