Representatives of the Extension Homemakers Past County Presidents Club recently presented a donation of $1,000 to the Putnam County Foundation Endowment Fund for the Fairgrounds.

One of the major missions of the Extension Homemakers Past Presidents Club is to support local 4-H programs and the work and activities of the Putnam County Extension Service.

The Past Presidents Club which was formed in 1953 raises funds through two annual events -- its Fall Arts and Crafts Show and its annual Garage Sale in the spring of each year.

Both events provide opportunities for local Extension Homemaker members and other residents to sell items. Both events have been conducted continuously for more than 30 years at the Putnam County Fairgrounds.

The Arts and Crafts Show which aims to provide local craftsmen a chance to sell and showcase their unique crafts is traditionally staged the first weekend of November each year. The 2018 Garage Sale is scheduled for Saturday, April 7.

Persons interested in participating in either of the 2018 events can contact any Extension Homemakers Past President for more information.
