New, expanded hours for library Community Help Desk

Friday, December 22, 2017

The Putnam County Public Library, 103 E. Poplar St., Greencastle, is expanding its Community Help Desk hours for 2018.

The Community Help Desk will now be open additional evening hours and on Wednesdays to make getting tech help more convenient.

The library’s Community Help Desk has a computer technician available to diagnose and help repair computers and electronics. It is first-come, first-served (no appointments) and is free and open to the public. Patrons must accompany their computers or electronics at all times with no drop-offs.

Most computer problems can be repaired in 20 minutes. If your computer problem is severe enough or would take longer than 30 minutes to fix, it may be recommended you take it to a professional.

Rarely will the help desk be canceled due to staff sick days or library holiday closings, so persons may want to check the online events calendar at PCPL21.org, or call the library at 653-2755 ahead of time.
