PCPL on the financial upswing

Monday, December 25, 2017

Business Operations Manager Lisa Barker announced at the Putnam County Library Board of Trustees’ recent regular meeting that the library is in good financial standing.

“We have a really sound financial situation considering we put in a parking lot this year,” Barker said. “We should be proud. We have a good financial standing going into next year.”

The parking lot project, in the works since January, was completed in September for about $70,000. The project got its start when property originally belonging to Katherine Harbison, a long-time supporter and patron of the library, suddenly came up for sale.
