Jan. 28 Lego birthday bash to feature Brickworld creations

Introduced on Jan. 28, 1958, the Lego Building Block is 60-years old. Join the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department on Sunday, Jan. 28 from 1-5 p.m. at the Inn at DePauw, 2 W. Seminary St., Greencastle, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Lego.

On display will be amazing creations from brick artists and engineers of the Indiana Lego Users Group (IndyLUG) as well as collections from some local Lego fans, too. Participants can play soccer and basketball from the Lego Sports Collection.

Sponsored by the Inn at DePauw and Event Center, Humphreys’ Outdoor Power, DePauw University Bonner Scholars, HWC Engineering, WREB 94.3 FM, IndyLUG and Brickworld, the special event will be held as a Lego Fans Food Drive to help restock the shelves of the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry. Admission will be one non-perishable food item or donation per person.
