Thomas honored by national Extension agents association

INDIANAPOLIS -- A retired Putnam County Extension educator was recently honored by the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents.

When the association met for its national conference in Indianapolis, Darrel Thomas was recognized as the Life Member of the Year.

The award recognizes NAE4-HA members for their efforts and accomplishments after their Extension career.

Thomas served as an Extension agent in Putnam County for 30 years.

He has continued to serve the county in the years since as a Putnam County councilman since 2003 and president of the council for more than eight years.
