Toga! Toga!

It isn’t exactly a Delta Tau Chi kind of night at McAnally Center on Thursday, but the Greencastle High School student section gets loud just the same in cheering the host Tiger Cubs to victory in the opening round of the Putnam County Classic. Cloverdale defeated North Putnam 51-43 in the opener and Greencastle defeated South Putnam 55-40 in the nightcap. The four teams will reconvene at McAnally tonight as the Cougars and Eagles face off in the consolation game at 6 p.m., followed by the championship between the Clovers and Tiger Cubs.

  • its a shame that the parents and administration let them behave like a gang of mean kids. chanting that certain opposing players suck. not showing good sportsmanship

  • I wasn’t there, but usually Greencastle admin do a good job of controlling the “bad sportsmanship” conduct.
