County Jail

Two people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

• At 9:20 p.m. Charles Zachary Atkinson, 34, Brazil, was lodged at the jail on a pair of local warrants.

• At 12:46 p.m. Keegen Che Bingman, 18, Greencastle, was taken into custody for theft and possession of stolen property.

City Police

Seven traffic citations were issued recently by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 3:44 p.m. Thursday, David Shepherd, 23, Bowling Green, was ticketed by Officer Nick Eastham.

Stopped on South Jackson Street, Shepherd was cited for having an expired license plate.

• At 2:09 p.m. Thursday, David Lane, 22, Greencastle, was cited by Capt. Chris Jones.

Stopped at Percy Julian Drive and Avenue F, Lane was ticketed for failure to use a seatbelt.

• At 9:06 a.m. Thursday, Cody Summerlot, 25, Fillmore, was cited by Officer Eastham.

Stopped on Fillmore Road, Summerlot was ticketed for having an expired license plate.

• At 11:15 p.m. Thursday, Nicholas Boswell, 26, Greencastle, was ticketed by Capt. Jones.

Stopped at Seminary and Locust streets, Boswell was cited for failure to use a seatbelt.

• At 1:44 p.m. Wednesday, Michael DeCarlo, 60, Greencastle, was ticketed by Capt. Jones.

Stopped at Percy Julian Drive and Avenue F, DeCarlo was cited for failure to register a vehicle within 60 days of becoming the owner.

• At 1:11 p.m. Wednesday, James Henry, 46, Poland, was cited by Capt. Jones.

Stopped at Percy Julian Drive and Mill Pond Lane, Henry was ticketed for failure to use a seatbelt.

• At 1:50 a.m. Wednesday, Travis Turner, 32, Brazil, was cited by Officer Alec Pettit.

Stopped on Veterans Memorial Highway, Turner was ticketed for disregarding a traffic control device.
