Evelyn Louise Ends

Evelyn Louise Ends, known to all as Louise, 94, lifelong resident of Brazil, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018 at Towne Park Assisted Living in Brazil.

Born in Clay County on Aug. 31, 1923, she was the daughter of Abe and Nellie Spurr Stallcop.

Louise lost her father very young and Mike Moxin was a very treasured stepfather.

In March 1948, Louise married Joseph L. Ends, and he preceded her in death in September 1975. They had one son, Larry.

She was always quite active and in her youth loved roller skating.

For many years she worked for IGA, A&P and Standard grocery stores in the meat department in Brazil and Terre Haute.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

She loved cooking for her many friends, played cards every week and was a member of the Sunshine Club. She was a talented seamstress and loved crafting.

After retiring, she volunteered much of her time to the Food Pantry in Brazil.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, husband Joe, sister Rean Thomas and brothers Charlie and Robert Stallcop.

Louise is survived by her son, Larry and his wife Cindy, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. We will miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Monday, March 5 at Moore Funeral Home, Brazil, with Pastor Gary Scroggins officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.

Burial will follow funeral services at Clearview Cemetery, Brazil.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Presbyterian Church Sunday Supper Program. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
