Tiger Cubs take WIC all-sports lead

Based on a strong winter sports season, Greencastle has assumed first place in the Western Indiana Conference all-sports standings.

The Tiger Cubs were second in girls’ basketball and third in girls’ swimming, and placed third in boys’ basketball, second in wrestling and fourth in boys’ swimming to bring their cumulative total to 186 points.

Indian Creek stands in second place just two points behind. Edgewood won the boys’ title for winter sports, keyed by team vicories in basketball and wrestling, while Indian Creek won the girls’ winter sports title with a first place in swimming and third in basketball.

South Putnam ranks 10th overall in the conference, while Cloverdale is 11th and South Putnam is 12th.
