NP’s Campbell signs to compete at SMWC
BAINBRIDGE — North Putnam senior Boston Campbell recently signed a national letter-of-intent to compete collegiately in Equestrian at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College.
Campbell will be competing in the Western style of Equestrian. She has won the title of Senior Versatility Champion in the Putnam County Horse and Pony competition, and was also the South Ranch Riding Circuit Champion at Gordyville, Ill.
“I am excited to work with Boston,” SMWC coach Sara Schultz said. “She is coming to us with a variety of horseback riding experience. She is beginning her show career on the registered circuits which will enhance her knowledge and talent.
“She has the right attitude to be a positive member of our team.”
Campbell is an honor roll student who plans to major in equine studies at St. Mary-of-the-Woods.
She also participates in choir, FFA and 4-H and was a state champion in color guard.
