A total of 205 DePauw student-athletes have been named to the Tiger Pride Honor Roll for achieving at least a 3.40 grade point average for the 2017 fall semester.

Two local high school graduates were among those honored.

BRAYDEN WHITE is a member of the baseball team from Greencastle.

MORGAN STEARLY is a member of the volleyball team from Centerpoint.

Founded in 1837, DePauw University is a top-ranked, 100-percent residential, private liberal arts university in Greencastle.


ISAAC HARMS of Greencastle has been named to the dean’s list for the fall term at Centre College, an honor reserved for students who maintain at least a 3.60 grade point average.

Harms is the son of Mary and Douglas Harms of Greencastle and is a graduate of Greencastle High School.

Centre College, founded in 1819, is ranked among the U.S. News top 50 national liberal arts colleges.


Hearing Care Professionals recently announced that ALISA CALHOUN of HCP in Greencastle and Crawfordsville was recently recognized for her help with a program providing hearing aids to people who cannot otherwise afford hearing care.

Hear Now is a Starkey Hearing Foundation program aimed at helping those with no means to pay for a hearing aid.

“Alisa fitted four individuals in this program and helped them get the hearing aids they needed,” said Todd Oney of Hearing Care Professionals. “We are proud of her commitment to hearing health and her tremendous customer service.”

The program is made up of 2,400 professionals who provided 14,000 hearing aids to about 7,400 people in 2017. The average number of people fitted in a year by one provider is two and Alisa fitted four.
