Ivy Tech Greencastle hosting Nursing Open House Monday

Ivy Tech Community College Greencastle will host a Nursing Open House on Monday, April 16.

The event will run from 5-7 p.m. at the college’s campus at 915 S. Zinc Mill Rd.

Anyone interested Ivy Tech’s nursing program in Greencastle is welcome to attend. Ivy Tech Community College Nursing Dean Angie Koller and Nursing program faculty will be present to answer any questions and offer tours of campus nursing facilities.

Ivy Tech’s Greencastle campus currently offers a Licensed Practical Nursing certificate (LPN) and recently introduced the LPN to Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Transition Track program.

The LPN to ASN Transitional Track allows licensed practical nurses to prepare for the NCLEX-RN examination to become registered nurses.

The track requires a minimum of 55 credit hours to complete. To be eligible, students must have a practical nursing license.

Students interested in the Practical Nursing program must complete applications by May 18. The deadline for the Transition Track program is Sept. 1.
