SPORTS BRIEFS: Tiger Cubs plan painting event

Greencastle High School’s baseball program is sponsoring a wood sign painting fundraiser on April 28.

The event will be from 3-5 p.m. at the Lifebuilder Church Community Center.

Cost is $40, which includes a wooden sign and all paint supplies. No artistic skill is needed, and lots of options are available.

Limited spots are available, and those interested in participating are asked to register by Saturday at paintandpartyindy.com.

Signups set for South Putnam summer swimming

Registration for South Putnam summer swim opportunities will be held April 26 from 5-7 p.m. and April 28 from 9:30-11 a.m. at South Putnam High School.

Any child interested in learn-to-swim lessons, building endurance in the water or developing fundamental skills of the four competitive strokes is encouraged to register.

All ages are welcome, but young children must be potty-trained. Classes are five days a week for two weeks beginning May 21.

Class size is limited, and classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and pre-registration is recommended.
