Dorothy M. Best

Dorothy M. Best, age 99, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.

Mrs. Best was a longtime resident of Greencastle.

She was born on Oct. 11, 1918 to Harry and Ruth Evans, who preceded her in death. She also had a brother, Renus, who died in 1956.

She and her parents moved from Clay County to Reelsville. She met Norman Best there and they were married on Sept. 3, 1940, and later moved to Greencastle.

Mr. Best passed away Dec. 15, 1981.

Also preceding Dorothy in death was her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Best, on Oct. 27, 2016.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Best, and two grandchildren, Kimberly Best and Cory Best, who both live in Florida.

A graveside service will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 20 at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery in Greencastle.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lynhurst Neighborhood Funeral Home, Indianapolis.
