Karen Dawn Sutherlin

Karen Dawn Sutherlin, 61, of Brazil, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, while surrounded by family, on April 19, 2018.

Karen was born on Jan. 11, 1957, in Brazil, the daughter of Chester Williams II and Georgia (Winn) Williams.

Most recently Karen worked for Chiyoda in Greencastle until her health forced her to retire.

Karen loved spending time with her family -- especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She also enjoyed watching soap operas, socializing and having "slumber parties" with her sisters.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Chester Williams; her mother, Georgia Williams Nelson; her stepmother, Gladys Williams; and a brother, Mark Williams.

She is survived by her children, Buffy Hawkins and husband Robert, Donald "Donnie" Sutherlin II (Stephanie Johnson), Courtney Robison and Chester "Chet" Sutherlin, all of Brazil; grandchildren Lacey Clark, Aden Johnson, Donald "Little Donnie" Sutherlin III and Eleanor "Ellie" Robison; great-grandchildren Mykayla Lombard, Mylee Lombard and Mason Randall; a brother, Terry Williams; three sisters, Sharon Metz of Brazil, Lori Ross of Plainfield and Penny Kidwell of Brazil, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave., Brazil, on Tuesday, April 24 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Services will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
