The Putnam County Community Foundation has announced that 25 different charitable organizations, scholarships and endowments are participating in this year’s Share the Dream program.

The fundraising program offers proportionally awarded grant prizes to participants who receive at least 10 donations of $25 or more between May 1 and Aug. 31.

Additionally, the endowment that receives the most donations from different households will earn a $1,000 grant bonus. All grant prizes will be awarded directly to the endowment fund to continue to grow and do good, forever.

“These endowments make a difference in Putnam County, both today and in the future,” Community Foundation Executive Director Elaine Peck said. “As they grow, their impact grows. In 20 years, an endowment administered by the Putnam County Community Foundation will have nearly doubled in size and distributed more than was originally contributed.”
