County Jail

Four people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Sunday

• At 5 a.m. Ismael Diaz-Nava, 42, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail for driving with a BAC greater than .15 percent and driving while intoxicated.

Saturday

• At 5:24 p.m. Taylor Marie Holland, 20, Brownsburg, was housed at the jail for public intoxication and being a minor in consumption of alcohol.

• At 5:04 p.m. Katelyn Rose Vierk, 19, Richmond, was booked in for public intoxication, resisting law enforcement and being a minor in consumption of alcohol.

Friday

• At 11:07 p.m. Kayla Lynn Coffey, 25, Danville, was lodged at the jail for possession of paraphernalia.

City Police

One weekend arrest was reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 5:03 p.m. Saturday, Brook Paige-Taylor Abell, 22, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Josh Smith on East Franklin Street near Dairy Castle.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, Abell was arrested on a Putnam County warrant for driving while suspended.

Five persons were issued a summons to appear in court answer charges in recent activity by Greencastle officers.

• At 5:04 p.m. Sunday, Fumika Iwasaki, 20, Greencastle, was cited by Sgt. Eric Vaughan.

A passenger in a vehicle stopped on Fillmore Road by Sgt. Vaughan, Iwasaki was issued a summons for possession of marijuana. The driver was given a warning ticket.

• At 5:37 a.m. Sunday, Tyler Brenton, 22, Rosedale, was stopped by Officer Luke Brown on Washington Street near Locust Street.

Brenton was issued a summons for an infraction of driving with a suspended license and then released from the scene.

• At 1:40 a.m. Sunday, Olivia Chauncey, 19, Indianapolis, was stopped by Officer Brown in the 400 block of East Seminary Street

Chauncey was issued a summons for being a minor in consumption of alcohol.

• At 1:02 a.m. Sunday, Frank Schafer, 18, Greencastle, was issued a summons on South CR 200 West by Officer Brown.

Schafer was issued a summons for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense and then released from the scene.

• On Friday, April 20, Brayden Wilson, 21, Greencastle, was stopped by Officer Kyle Lee in the 200 block of Elizabeth Street.

Wilson was issued a summons for an infraction of driving with a suspended license and then released from the scene.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage accident.

• At 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Stacy D. Patterson, 48, Greencastle, was traveling on County Road 625 West near County Road 25 South on a 2017 Polaris Ranger 1000 UTV when a dog entered the roadway.

Patterson was unable to avoid the animal and after hitting it, she lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree on the side of the road. The vehicle sustained moderate damage to the front driver’s side.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.
