Princess Pride

Reaching across the table, Indianapolis 500 Princess Purva Patel, a DePauw University junior from Greenwood, places her tiara atop the head of four-year-old Mercy Stidd, who accompanied friends to the Gleaner’s Food Giveaway Thursday at the Armory. Princess Patel, who is a biochemistry and neurosicence major at DePauw, was among the volunteers passing out food to local seniors but took a few moments to pose with Mercy, much to her new friend’s obvious delight.
