Greencastle Water Department to perform hydrant flushing next week

The Greencastle Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the city beginning on Tuesday, May 15.

Ed Phillips of the water department said the work is expected to continue on Wednesday and possibly into Thursday.

All work will be performed between 6 p.m. and midnight on the given days.

The plan is for crews to begin on the north side of Greencastle and continue south and east until every hydrant in the city has been flushed.
