Local actress Ashlee Vitz in play at Terre Haute this weekend

TERRE HAUTE -- Local actress and Putnam County Playhouse regular Ashlee Vitz will be performing this weekend in the professional theatrical production, “Gospel of Everyman,” produced by Theater 7.

Vitz will be playing various roles, including Beauty, as well as singing in the gospel choir.

The show follows the character of Everyman as his life of ease and riches is ruined when a stranger tells him he must find someone to accompany him on his final journey.

“The experience of working in professional theater again is unlike any other,“ Vitz said. “I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with such amazing people on a show that has so much power.”

The performance will take place in Cecilian Auditorium at St. Mary of the Woods College on Friday and Saturday, May 18-19 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 20 at 2 p.m.

The show will play two more nights, May 23-24 at the First Congregational Church in Terre Haute at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $18 at the Indiana State University Hulman Center Box Office (http://hulmancenter.org/) or at the door one hour before curtain.

The full cast includes Charles James Adams, Ethan Alltop, Tristan Crutchfield, LeeAnn Downing, Kim McMurray, Michael Natt, Susan Monts-Bologna, Olandria Owens, Chuck Shutt, Ashlee Vitz, Isaac White and Janice Williams.

The play is directed and adapted by Arthur Feinsod.
