Ivy Tech Community College celebrated its second cohort of ASAP program graduates during a recent ceremony in Greencastle.

Campus leaders honored 18 ASAP program graduates with associate degrees in Liberal Arts.

Some students also earned degrees in General Studies. In addition, students earned transfer general education core certificates from the college.

ASAP, or the Associate Accelerated Program, is a fast-paced program that provides wraparound support from mentors and peers, giving students the support they need to complete a degree in just one year. ASAP students can also take advantage of Ivy Tech’s tuition costs, the lowest in the state.

After completion of the program, students may transfer credits to a four-year school, where they can finish a bachelor’s degree in just two more years. The bottom line -- ASAP helps students earn their degree and transition into a bachelor’s degree with less debt and more support.

Following is a list of 2018 Ivy Tech ASAP program graduates:

ASAP has gained national attention for its success rates. Sixty percent of ASAP students earn a degree in just one year and after one year 98 percent of students persist to earn their bachelor’s degree or a second associate degree. A full 100 percent of ASAP graduates who have applied have been accepted into one or more four-year colleges.

Ivy Tech Community College is the state’s largest public postsecondary institution and the nation’s largest singly accredited statewide community college system.
