Bainbridge Alumni Association sets 104th banquet June 30

BAINBRIDGE -- The 104th annual Bainbridge High School (BHS) Alumni Association banquet is set for Saturday, June 30 in the Bainbridge Community Building

The welcome hour will begin at 5 p.m. with the buffet dinner following at 6:30.

The program will be highlighted by the recognition of the fourth annual Bainbridge High School Alumni scholarship winner and a musical skit by the BHS Class of 1968. Chevelle Tallman, a recent North Putnam High School graduate and daughter of Anthony and Christina Tallman won the scholarship.

Classes to be honored this year at the banquet include: 1943 (75 years since graduation), 1948 (70 years since graduation), 1958 (60 years since graduation) and 1968 (50 years since graduation.)

Class speakers scheduled to make responses are Mildred Tippin Rusk of Terre Haute for the 1958 class and Doyne Cruse of Rockville, who will speak for the 50-year class of 1968.

The public may purchase tickets for the banquet until June 23 by contacting secretary Brenda Brackney Heacock, rural Greencastle, at (765) 739-6380 or treasurer Joe Martin, Greencastle, at (765) 301-9092.

All alumni are welcome to bring guests, and anyone who attended BHS or has an interest in the school is welcome to attend.

Other officers of the Bainbridge High School Alumni Association this year include Roger Riggen, of rural Bainbridge, president; Debra Alcorn Lanie, of Zionsville, vice president, and Alan Ader, of Rockville, corresponding secretary.
