Windlan to be named Monday

Greencastle will officially name former Carmel girls’ basketball coach Tod Windlan to that position at Monday night’s meeting of the Greencastle Community School Corporation board.

Windlan will replace Bradley Key, who left after nine seasons at GHS to become the new coach at Greenfield-Central.

Key had a record of 128-76 at Greencastle, including one sectional title and seven Putnam County titles..

The Tiger Cubs return four starters from last year’s 16-9 team that was runnerup in both the Western Indiana Conference and the Crawfordsville Sectional.

Windlan has compiled a 221-115 record in 14 seasons at six schools, including a 24-3 record at Carmel last winter.
