Larry Allen Attkisson

Larry Allen Attkisson, 66, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 25th, 2018 at 11:25 a.m.

Larry was born August 3rd, 1951 to Robert and Mabel (Small) Attkisson.

He graduated from Washington High School where he excelled in math and wrestling.

He coached wrestling for eight years at North Putnam High School.

Larry married Dianna (Williams) Attkisson on August 28th, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel, and brothers, Bob and Harry.

Larry is survived by his wife, Dianna; father, Robert; son, Daniel (Patty) Attkisson; stepsons, Steve (Dawn) Wisher and Chris Wisher; grandchildren, Devan and Damon Attkisson, and Addison Wisher; sibling, Lynn (Karen) Attkisson; and sisters-in-law, Karen Wood and Beverly Attkisson; brothers-in-law, Scot Williams and Paul Wood and 10 nieces and nephews.

Larry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

He trained to become a journey machine repairman and was a proud member of UAW Local 933. He worked for 36 years for General Motors and Allison Transmission.

Larry enjoyed time with family and friends, traveling, playing cards, boating and skiing on Heritage Lake and driving his Harley-Davidson and Corvettes.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 1st, 2018 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, 4 Percy Julian Drive, Greencastle, with Chaplain Kevin Tomeo officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, June 30th and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Exotic Feline Rescue Center at 2221 E. Ashboro Rd., Center Point, IN 47840.
