City Police

One summons and two citations were issued as a result of recent activity by Greencastle Police Department officers.

A 26-year-old Greencastle man was issued a summons into court on a charge of inhaling toxic vapors in an incident reported at 10:10 p.m. Sunday.

Christopher Smith was reportedly sitting outside huffing something from a plastic bag at the McDonald’s restaurant at 940 E. Indianapolis Rd., Officer Alec Pettit reported.

Two recent citations were also issued by GPD.

•At 9:55 p.m. Saturday, Thomas Stearley, 47, Greencastle, was cited by Officer Pettit.

Stopped on Illinois Street in the city’s South End, Stearley was cited for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

•At 10:32 p.m. Saturday, June 9, Eli Simenauer, 24, Indianapolis, was ticketed by Officer Luke Brown.

Stopped on Shadowlawn Avenue near Robinwood Place, Simenauer was cited for having no operator’s license.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to one recent dispatch.

•At 9:12 p.m. Friday they were dispatched to Ottawa Park on the report of a pedestrian struck, arriving on scene at 9:18 p.m. They were disregarded and left the scene at 9:23 p.m.

Additionally, GFD recently performed four medical assists.
