Doris Ilene Haussin

Doris Ilene Haussin, 89, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

She was born in Dugger, Ind., the daughter of Thomas and Eulala (Burge) Smith and was a 1947 graduate of Linton Stockton High School.

Doris retired from McLean Trucking, where she worked for several years as an executive secretary. She had previously worked as a switchboard operator with Indiana Bell.

Doris was a member of the Greencastle Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy A Haussin; son, Gregg Haussin; a sister, Thelma Smith Fleetwood; and brothers Herb and Lowell Smith.

She is survived by her sons, Gary (wife Terri) Haussin and Geoffrey (wife Penny) Haussin; daughter-in-law, Jenny Haussin; grandchildren, Lindsay (husband Mike) Foreman, Gary Bradley (wife Rayleigh) Haussin, Becca Haussin, Gaines Haussin and Grant Haussin; and four great-grandchildren, Trevor, Max, Eli and Owen Foreman.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 29 at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
