This summer, 25 different charitable organizations, scholarships and endowments are participating in the Putnam County Community Foundation Share the Dream program. The fundraising program offers proportionally awarded grant prizes to participants who receive at least 10 donations of $25 or more between May 1 and Aug. 31. Each of the 25 organizations will be highlighted in this series.

The North Putnam Alumni Association School Support Endowment, established in 2015, provides financial support to the North Putnam Community School Corporation for charitable projects as suggested by the representatives of the North Putnam Alumni Association.

The long-term vision of the Alumni Association is to support educational achievement in northern Putnam County for future generations and to see future students achieving their goals because of the generous contributions from current and future donors.

Awards are limited to groups of current North Putnam students or student organizations to be used to further their goals and enhance their academic experience. Recently, the endowment has helped to the school’s FFA group with transportation expenses and provided funding for the yearbook club to purchase cameras.

While the Alumni Association does not have a specific goal amount, it is hoping to see its endowment grow by several thousand dollars during the Share the Dream program.

If you are passionate about education, expanding student organizations, and/or providing them with funds to achieve their academic goals, consider donating to the North Putnam Alumni Association Student Support Endowment. Your donation can make a difference.
