Frances Lea Sutherlin

Frances Lea (Frazier) Sutherlin, 79, of Darlington, passed way at Franciscan Health Lafayette East, Lafayette, on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 10:35 a.m.

Frances was born in Greencastle on July 30, 1938 to the late Cyril and Sarah (Braden) Frazier.

She graduated from Greencastle High School in 1955 and married Jack Sutherlin that same year. He preceded her in death in 2015.

Frances worked for R.R. Donnelley and Sons for 30 years and also sold real estate.

She was a past member of the Eastern Star, Moose Lodge and the American Legion.

Frances loved to crochet rugs, garden, solve logic puzzles and cook some famous noodles. She loved being a "mamaw" to her grandchildren.

Frances is survived by daughters, Cindy Tomey and Tammy (Chris) Cohee; grandchildren Sean Tomey, Nick Crull and Kristin Vallaly; great-grandchildren Kaylee, Brent, Jaxon, Ayden, Sarah, Evan, Grace and Jaxon; and siblings Lois McNeff and Sarah Hubble. Also surviving is her bird, Polly

Frances was preceded in death by her husband Jack; parents Cyril and Sarah (Braden) Frazier; son-in-law Rob Tomey; granddaughter Whitney Cohee; and sister Alberta.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3 at Sutherlin Cemetery, Putnam County, with John Pettigrew officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Order of the Eastern Star via the Crawfordsville Masonic Lodge.
