Steve W. Goodpaster

Steve W. Goodpaster, 65, of Reelsville, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 while staying at Cloverleaf Health Care.

Steve was born on Aug. 17, 1952 in Putnamville, the son of Paul and Martha (Lehr) Goodpaster.

He graduated from South Putnam High School with the class of 1969.

Steve married Lisa Head on Feb. 23, 1979.

He worked for Sneath Small Engines and Tracer Trailer.

Steve worked for 23 years at South Putnam High School as the custodian, retiring in 2015.

Steve loved playing the guitar. In his early years he played in many area bands but more recently he played for Tree of Life Ministry Church in Brazil.

Steve also loved working on cars, tinkering and camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Martha Goodpaster; a brother, Marion Goodpaster; and a grandson, Justin Wilson.

Steve is survived by his wife, Lisa Goodpaster of Reelsville; children Steve Perrine Goodpaster of Brazil, Lavett Wilson and husband David of Reelsville, Shanette Goodpaster of Reelsville, and Tarina Goodpaster of Reelsville; grandchildren Steve O. Perrine, Jersi Wilson, Madilynn and Sophia; a brother, Melvin Goodpaster, and wife Mitzie of Poland.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave., Brazil.

Services will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday, July 6 with Pastor Billy Pruner. Burial will follow at Croy's Creek Cemetery.
